Introduction

Congenital Liver Disease

Learn how to identify liver disease in infants, facilitate appropriate investigations and develop a management plan with consideration of treatment options and prognosis.

Cardiac Disease of the Newborn

Learn the changes from foetal to adult circulation, and learn to recognise the features and management of congenital heart disease.

Cleft Lip and Palate

Learn the anatomy and function of the mouth and palate, the types of clefts, management and feeding with clefts, as well as counselling parents on long term outcomes.

Birthmarks

Learn how to approach diagnosis of birthmarks, understand prognosis, differentiate which birthmarks require referral, and gain awareness on the treatment modalities of various birthmarks.

Inborn Errors of Metabolism

Learn how to define an IEM, the red flags for metabolic disorders, as well as how to facilitate further investigation and formulate an ongoing management plan.

Disorders of Sex Development

Learn how to define DSD and develop an approach to investigation and management, as well as create a multidisciplinary management strategy understanding the social and emotional impacts.

Trisomy 21 and other common genetic variations

Learn how to recognise common chromosomal anomalies, understand the role of antenatal screening, and how to facilitate genetic investigations.
