As a primary care professional, you are often first point of contact for patients and families within the community. You play a pivotal role in the initial investigation and diagnoses for a wide range of presentations, from minor injuries to potentially life threating conditions. Continual development and access to evidence-based, current practices are key to ensuring you are well-prepared for every case that comes your way.
The SCHN Essential Paediatrics program is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver effective care for children and young people in their care. The program covers essential paediatric presentations and issues commonly presented in primary care and is aimed at the general practitioner who see children in a clinical or emergency setting.
